THE ENGAGEMENT
On August 7, 2016, Nick proposed! I was told by my family that we were going to the Butcher Shop Steakhouse, a local restaurant, for Sunday dinner. I was not expecting Nick to be in attendance on that day. To my surprise, however, after my family and I had been at the restaurant for about 30 minutes, Nick walked in. After noticing him walking toward the table, I noticed his parents come in, followed by his sisters, brothers, their families, and one of my dearest friends. What a beautiful surprise! When I saw all of them walk in I knew this had to be “the day.” Shortly after everyone was seated, Nick asked for everyone’s attention, got on one knee, and proposed. Of course, I said, “YES!” The memories of that day will be engraved in my heart forever!
